In the previous chapter, for a moment I thought the hooded figure was Asura’s not-so deceased redhead friend!
That does make sense. Though the question is whether only a scion can serve as the host? I’m not sure the Esurient can really be starved.

Interesting. He can only survive off of scions? I assumed he used scion bodies because they made him more powerful. And because he is a jerk.
